So what i see as "important and lost" is social connection within the multiple human societies/communities we're part of; namely: family, building, neighborhood, etc...and I'm definitely part of the issue, so I'm not really lecturing here, but rather trying to add something and maybe capture your next thoughts to improve myself too (bc we all see "something is off track").

  8. I come from a very humble northern Italian family, but even for me, as a mid-class white collar european citizen, I believe "many of us don't really need much more than what we already have (sometimes/most times inherited), in terms of possessions", and that might be the "why".

  10. We keep on moving forward, and thinking that looking back might be a mistake. The future is an aspiration, but is it for everyone? ... Shouldn't some of us mainly look backwards and help us refactor something inherited and never reimagined?

  12. The solution? (re)connect. (maybe) Try to fix what we think is wrong, even if it seems it doesn't concern us.

  14. If we're thinking about it, it might mean we care, and even without being a socialist, you can't argue about ourselves being eusocial animals, so far, thriving thanks to a series of lucky events and gatherings for thousands of years.

  16. So we're all socialists, we just don't say it now, because it feels political, and because someone exploited our intrinsic need of connection, making us hate it (hint: social media and tech, mainly, targeting dopamine, rather then usefulness).

  18. Point being: you could try fixing this, and who knows, maybe succeed even without a YouTube channel to monetize the action, and improve both yours and Dina's lives. 🤷🏼‍♂️🎲

  22. Nonetheless: thanks for sharing this story, bc I believe it's important to, at least, start the conversation, to evolve it into action: Let's fix what's broken, let's retrieve what shouldn't have been lost, let's refactor what works and could go better!
