So the only household inspiring my speech away from dementia and aging is my Quebecois wife.

One always learns an accent learning French. The Montreal Jews, especially the ones claiming to be Jewish mafia, get put on a French accent that proximates Syrians and Indians. But at least that food is affordable and nice.
To acquire the proper French accents one must obey every note of it. Else you are sorted to a caste proximate to the poverty of your French accent.
I have merely evaded the Quebecois caste system of bad French accents learning French this slowly.

I had the choice to learn Italian at the Italian Catholic mass a few blocks down. There are choices. And unfortunately the Italian language of Montreal is governed literally by mafia warehouses connected to New Jersey, formerly Italy.
